Each county has different codes that determine where and how portable storage units are to be placed on your property. Do your research to find out if you need a permit and where on your property you can place a portable storage container before renting.
Depending on your storage container size rental, our delivery trucks will need the following clearance below plus an additional 12’-15’ in width and 14’ in height.

For an office/storage combo container delivery, follow these guides for your entry doors best location. Always take into consideration available clearance space when opening the entry door.
If you need the storage door loaded to the CAB to come off last, the office door is on the passenger’s side
If you need the storage door loaded to the REAR to come off first, the office door is on the driver’s side

If you need the electrical panel to come off the truck first, your office door will be on the passenger’s side of the truck

SITE PREP FOR STORAGE CONTAINERS
Prepping the site to house a portable storage container is an important step before the unit arrives. Mobile Modular Portable Storage will work with you to ensure the site is clear and level, but here are a few quick tips to get you started:
Level Ground
Storage units need to sit on level ground. Make sure you have enough level ground to set up your storage unit and a clear path to the site from the road for a truck to deliver the container.
Overhead Obstructions
Look for power cables, tree branches and phone lines that could obstruct the lifting process around your site. Let our representative know about any low hanging objects that could be in the way of delivery.
Sturdy Foundation
The site should be free of any trash, and the ground should be hard enough to hold the weight of container. It is best if you have a full concrete base, but that’s not mandatory. Ideally, the container should be slightly elevated from the ground by placing a concrete slab underneath each of its four corners. The most common types of foundations are concrete slabs, concrete footings and wooden beam footings.

Storage containers come in standard 10 ft., 20 ft., 24 ft. and 40 ft. sizes. They can also be stacked together for storage in a tight space.
