The 57th Super Bowl at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona was a nail-biter, tense up to the last minutes. But did you ever stop to think about the behind-the-scenes site preparation? This can be just as exciting, full of twists and turns--a massive team effort by a multitude of event planners, production crew, equipment transporters, and others. Last year was the first year that Portable Storage and their sister company, Mobile Modular supplied shipping containers and modular buildings for America’s biggest yearly sports event. Because of our team's proficiency in executing tasks on-time, affordably, and with experts on-site all the way through, we were rehired in 2023 to work on the event.

The Challenge

Deliver and install a total of 15 storage containers, 61 brand new single-wide modular buildings, and 2 double-wide modular buildings from Phoenix to Glendale in preparation for the 57th Super Bowl on Feb. 12, 2023. Given that hundreds of trucks are delivering equipment to the stadium in the days leading up to the Super Bowl, coordination and execution of modular deliveries is no small feat.

Our Solutions

The portable storage containers were used to store event equipment and the pyrotechnics used in the halftime show. The modular buildings created the Super Bowl television broadcast compound and served as offices for the Super Bowl production team, as well as the staging area for the Rihanna halftime show. The event organizers requested the storage containers and modular buildings be delivered and installed within 4 weeks, but the team delivered the entire fleet in a record 8 days. This extraordinary effort was recognized with a spontaneous "shout out" and standing ovation from event planners.
