Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What does the Contents Coverage Insurance coverage include and how do I file a claim?

The Contents Coverage program offers protection against fire and smoke, burglary, water damage, and more while your belongings are stored. To initiate a claim, visit storageprotectors.com. Claims must be reported 30 days from when you are first made aware of a potential loss.

Are there specific terms for renting on-site storage units? What risks should I be aware of?

Yes — On-site unit rentals operate on a 30-day renewable basis. You’re responsible for insurance for your stored property; Mobile Modular Portable Storage isn’t liable for any damage or loss. Units are rented “as-is,” and failure to pay rent may result in your items being sold after 30 days.

If I decide to purchase a storage container outright, what should I know?

The sale agreement is final upon delivery, with title transferring only after full payment. The equipment is sold “as-is” with no expressed or implied warranties. You must also maintain insurance coverage for the container, naming the seller as a loss payee until title transfers.
